Newspaper Article: "What I’m watching for in Obama’s health plan and 'bi-partisan' summit"

President Obama will reveal his health care plan on Monday. Will he support the newly resurrected public option, or go with the Senate bill from December, which he has previously said should form the basis of what is passed?
Will he adopt more of the Republican proposals, such as provisions for buying insurance across state lines and real tort reform, or will he say as he has to date that the current plans already include Republican ideas (or that Republicans don’t have ideas)?
When we get to Thursday’s health care summit, will the Democrats start with the House bill, the Senate bill, the President’s Monday proposal, or something else? Will we know before Thursday? (It’s kind of like negotiating with a drunk.)
Will Republicans show up? Will they present more robust ideas than they have thus far? (Republicans have had ideas and a decent framework for incremental reforms, which the Democrats have mostly ignored, but the Republicans have not yet been forced to present details.) Will they simply tell us what we already know – the public hates the Democratic health care plan (in all its versions to date)?
